Head from the Oseberg Viking ship find

The head forms part of the wagon which was found in the Viking Grave at Oseberg, Norway, dating from about A.D. 800. The burial took place in the Oseberg Viking ship. The ship, with the wagon and numerous other highly decorated items from the grave, were dug out in 1904. The original is located in the Viking Ship Museum, Oslo, Norway.
